From geeking out on web apps in 2008 to running a one-woman design studio, Aakanksha’s design journey has come a full circle from paper to screen and now back to designing for the real, real world.
Her design studio, Anomalie/अनॉमली, works on the molten space between art and design where she drawing and visual art practices are transmuted to reside on newer materials. This mostly leads to works on art-led design projects that live off the screens.
The studio’s first design project is an indie-temporary-tattoo brand, Anomalie Tattoo Co where she works with South Asian artists to get their artworks designed to be worn on skin as tattoos.
The studio also produces limited-edition experimental pieces in collaboration with artisans and other creatives from time to time.
